On the 21st, FUSE TV revealed their interview with Epik High, shedding light on their debut and their future plans.

FUSE TV has launched a new show since the beginning of this year entitled 'FUSE LOVES SEOUL: From K-Pop to Hip Hop'. Through this show, FUSE is attempting to introduce several Korean artists to a wider, international audience. So far, FUSE has hosted 2NE1, Big Bang (with TOP and Taeyang having their own individual interviews) as well as several other YG artists. Epik High was next on the list.

FUSE TV mentioned, "It is hard to find hip-hop musicians such as Epik High. This group has shaken the entire K-Pop scene for more than 10 years. With a unique sound combining rap and rock, Epik High is a team that came together naturally unlike other idol groups."

Tablo explained Epik High's beginnings, "We are not the typical K-Pop musician. We had no agency or manager. Each of us got together for the pure reason of making music. This method of forming groups was extremely different and wasn't common at all."

FUSE TV added, "Epik High has achieved success in K-Pop charts. Not only that, they were the driving forces behind the elevation of Korean hip-hop to the world scene. Epik High has toured the U.S with Far East Movement in 2009 as well as made it to #1 on the iTunes Hip-hop chart with their album 'Epilogue' in 2010. They were the first Korean group to ever achieve that."

Throughout the years, Epik High has been recognized as a hip-hop group with a distinct sound. Combining and experimenting with various music genres, they have constantly gained positive attention and love from audiences. Their emotionally deep lyrics that transmit certain messages have also been a highlighted part of their songs.

Lee Seung Hwan to Release an Album in Late March

Veteran singer Lee Seung Hwan will soon return with his 11th album. On February 19, the singer wrote on his Facebook, “I thought it would be better after time passed. I keep on focusing on the quality and sound of the music. I have a bad habit of annoying the staff and thinking that it is okay since they have been accustomed to it. I have been called Lee Seung Hwan mule because of my stubbornness like a mule. Now it’s the last steps of recording the vocals, and although I don’t smoke, I want to have a cigarette in my mouth and hum throughout the night.” Along with the message, the singer posted a photo of himself in an American recording studio back in August.

Furthermore, Lee Seung Hwan’s agency, Dream Factory, commented on February 20, “The singer’s 11th album was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee’s Oceanway Studio and in Los Angeles’ Henson Studio; many musicians participated in the recording of the album. Currently we are finishing the last parts of production for the 11th album that will be released in March, and Lee Seung Hwan plans to have a large showcase on March 28. The showcase will start his official music activities.” The veteran singer, known to hold more performances rather than broadcast appearances, debuted back in 1989 with his album “B.C. 603.” Having held over 1000 live concerts, Lee Seung Hwan’s songs will not disappoint.

[Star of the Week] The Top Infinite ′Pretty Girl′ Moments

Among piles of videos and pictures featuring the Infinite members’ powerful and manly performances in the past are some of their not-so-manly, but oh-so-beautiful moments as pretty ladies.

[Star of the Week] The Top Infinite ′Pretty Girl′ Moments

And whether the Infinite members want to recollect those memories or not, we’ve decided to dig through for some of those girly moments.

So take a look at their dolled up moments and see who′s the prettiest!

[Star of the Week] The Top Infinite ′Pretty Girl′ Moments

Sung Jong and Milk Caramel

Infinite’s maknae Sung Jong formed a special group called ‘Milk Caramel’ along with the maknaes of other groups, namely U-Kiss’s Dong Ho and ZE:A’s Dong Jun, to parody Orange Caramel on a show.

Not only did he perfectly pull off the girly performance, but he also managed to make everyone gawk for perfectly pulling off an all-pink outfit.

Song Jong also did a sexy parody of SNSD’s song on Strong Heart taking Tiffany′s part, which might have made Tiffany, who was also on the show, a bit jealous of his skills.

[Star of the Week] The Top Infinite ′Pretty Girl′ Moments

Sung Yeol and Hyuna of Trouble Maker

Sung Yeol brought an unforgettable moment to his fans during Infinite’s concert, by performing as Hyuna from Troublemaker. He might not have been as sexy as Hyuna, but he came pretty darn close.

[Star of the Week] The Top Infinite ′Pretty Girl′ Moments

Dong Woo and Wow Man

When it comes to yeo-jang (dressing up as a girl), Dong Woo probably had the most experience out of all Infinite members, since he had to dress up as a girl every week when he was a fixed member of a show called Wow Man.

[Star of the Week] The Top Infinite ′Pretty Girl′ Moments

Woo Hyun’s pre-debut performance

Before he made his official debut as a member of Infinite, Woo Hyun dressed up as a girl in a program designed to show off talents.

He made the show hosts burst out laughing with his appearance, but soon impressed everyone on the show with his vocal talent.

[Star of the Week] The Top Infinite ′Pretty Girl′ Moments

Flower Boy L as a teenage girl

Having a naturally pretty face, L dressed up as a girl for a school event as a middle school boy. No video (about which we are devastated), but clearly L makes a beautiful girl - and a pretty boy.

Mnet’s “M!Countdown” Will Update Its Broadcast Format to Allow More Fan Participation

Mnet’s “M!Countdown” Will Update Its Broadcast Format to Allow More Fan Participation

Mnet’s “M!Countdown” Will Update Its Broadcast Format to Allow More Fan Participation

Cable music show, “M! Countdown” will be reorganizing its music program, allowing fans and audience to have a larger participation on the show. On February 20, Mnet expressed, “Starting from February 27, ‘M! Countdown’s’ format will be updated from the process of how music is ranked, and to how the MCs will run the show. We will allow for a broader participation of the audience in hopes of becoming a more agreeable music chart program.”

The biggest change will be the social media points that will focus on audience participation. Starting from the February 27, online music scores will be 50%, album sales 10%, social media points (Youtube official music video views + SNS buzz) 10%, preference scores (global fan votes + age range preference) 10%, broadcast scores 10%, and live voting 10%. With the show opening up more categories for points, the hope is that viewers would be able to see a diverse range of music on the show’s charts.

Notably, the changed format will focus on the top ten songs on the charts, rather than just on the number one ranked song. In doing so, “M! Countdown” hopes to convey the changing music trends to the audience.  Camera producer Yoon Shin Hye commented, “Through a new method, we hope that the program can offer a diverse music chart.”

This year, “M! Countdown” will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary as the music program began back in July of 2004.

Kim Hyun Joong Displays Much Improved Acting in “Age of Feeling”

Kim Hyun Joong plays the character Shin Jung Tae, a man who lives a tragic fate and is forced to become a fighter in order to protect the ones he loves, in KBS 2TV’s “Age of Feeling.” He plays a character that requires him to display various expressions and action scenes.

Much expectation was geared towards Kim Hyun Joong especially after it was revealed that the production cost of the drama was as high as 1.5 billion won (approx. $14 million). However, despite the worries, Kim Hyun Joong is increasing the engagement of the viewers through the expressions in his eyes and fancy action scenes.

In the episode of “Age of Feeling,” which aired on February 20, Kim Hyun Joong shed tears while releasing his resentment towards his father (played by Choi Jae Sung).

He expressed the longing and the sadness of Shin Jung Tae towards his father while reciting his lines in tears. “Father. Do you have any good memories to take with you? If you don’t, take this one memory: there was never a moment when your son or your daughter has forgotten you… and that we love you. Please take this with you.”

In addition, Kim Hyun Joong’s efforts in his action scenes are also visible. The brilliant action scenes he has shown since the first episode of “Age of Feeling,” are capturing viewers.

After overcoming the controversy involving his acting skills, anticipation is growing towards actor Kim Hyun Joong and his future.

Celebrities React to Yuna Kim’s Silver Medal with a Mixture of Frustration and Gratitude

As the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics comes to an end, the world was shocked by the outcome of the ladies figure skating program when Yuna Kim took home the silver instead of the gold medal, which went to 17-year-old Adelina Sotnikova of Russia.

As expected, countless Korean celebrities reacted with a complicated mix of emotions that include joy, gratitude, pride, anger and frustration.

Jeon Hyun Moo tweeted, “Kim Yuna! I’m thankful for the fact that I have lived in the same time as you. You went through so much for all this time. The judge’s home advantage scoring at the Sochi olympics will remain as a ‘soo-chi’ (meaning, “shame”). But don’t worry! Kim Yuna is already the true queen that the world acknowledges.”

Younha tweeted, “You all probably didn’t sleep and watched this… Who cares about sleep right now!! Yuna Kim, who have such a big heart. It must have been hard to interview but thank you for answering. Until the end, you said that your rival is yourself, you’re so great! You are the Queen!”

On a recent episode of SISTAR’s reality show, Hyorin showed her outgoing personality by filming herself after she had washed up.

On February 22’s episode of “SISTAR’s Midnight in Hong Kong,” Hyorin grabbed the camera and proceeded to film a self camera. What was the catch? The singer had just come out of the shower, wearing a robe and a towel on her head. Different than her usual stage look that consisted of styled hair and makeup, Hyorin showed her no-makeup look with a smile. As the singer commented that she usually prefers a free look rather than a created look, the SISTAR member expressed, “On stage since we wear tight outfits, it can be uncomfortable. So I only look for comfortable clothes.”
