2PM’s “Genesis of 2PM” Ranks #1 on Oricon Chart
2PM recently released their third full-length album in Japan and has secured the #1 spot on the Oricon Chart.
On January 29, 2PM released “Genesis of 2PM” and has shot straight up to #1 on the very same day on the Oricon Daily Chart.
“Genesis of 2PM” is 2PM’s third full-length album released in Japan after their successful first (“Republic of 2PM“) and second (“Legend of 2PM“) albums. “Genesis of 2PM” is a good mix of 2PM’s strong outer image as well as their soft inner emotions as well.
Songs in this album include “Give Me Love,” “Winter Games,” “Step by Step,” “Merry-Go-Round” and others for a total of 13 tracks. Six of the pre-released tracks in this album went on to rank #1 on the ringtone download charts as well.
2PM commented, “When we heard that our album was at #1 on the Oricon Chart, we couldn’t hide our joy. We really thank everyone for their love and we’ll work even harder and try our best. Thank you for always loving us and supporting us.”
Meanwhile, 2PM started their arena tour in Japan on January 27.
