Gaon Chart is the national record chart of South Korea. It is complied by the Korea Music Content Industry Association with an aim to create a national chart for Korea similar to the Billboard charts and Oricon charts.

FT Island releases PV teaser for “You Are My Life”

FT Island will be releasing their 10th Japanese single at the end of the month and to give fans a first look, they unveiled a PV teaser for “ You Are My Life”.
The group will release their 10th Japanese single titled ‘You Are My Life’ on March 27th. The title track of the same name is a ballad number about ‘ultimate love’ and highlights the touching voice of vocalist Lee Hong Ki.
The single contains three tracks and will be available in three different versions, including two limited editions (CD+DVD) and a regular release (CD Only).

B.A.P to hold first solo concert in Japan
After their successful concert in Seoul, the boys of B.A.P will be meeting their Japanese fans with their first solo concert in Japan!
B.A.P will hold their live concert, “ B.A.P LIVE ON EARTH JAPAN” for the first time at the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall in Kanagawa on May 24. They plan to do even more exciting things even prior to their Japanese debut.
According to the concert organizer, they received a flood of calls from the fans and even their server was temporarily paralyzed after ‘B.A.P LIVE ON EARTH JAPAN’ concert was announced, showing overwhelming popularity of the group.

Big Bang’s G-Dragon confirms Indonesia for his world tour
Big Bang’s G-Dragon has added Indonesia to his solo world tour itinerary.
The schedule for ‘ GD 2013 1st World Tour’ was partially unveiled on the star’s Facebook page, and it has been confirmed that G-Dragon will be bringing his first solo concert tour in Indonesia.
Although the confirmation does not reveal the date or the city the concert will be held in, the mere fact that Indonesia has been confirmed has been exciting fans.
G-Dragon’s world concert tour will kickstart on March 30th in Seoul.

Tei releases “Memory Is More Beautiful Than Farewell” MV starring f(x)’s Krystal
Singer Tei participated in the fourth part of ‘ Melody Project‘ music drama.
The project depicts the different aspects of with love through various songs and drama music video produced by Oh Joon Sung. Part 1 was sung by Clazziquai’s Alex back in March 2012 as he sang the “Andante” portion while the Part 2, “Moderato”, is sung by Krystal and Part 3 “Fermata” was sung by Byul.
For the Part 4 of the project, Tei released his single “ Memory Is More Beautiful Than Farewell” for the “Adagio” portion of ‘Melody Project’, with f(x)’s Krystal starring in the music video.

Psy hints at new song’s choreography?
In promotions of his upcoming concert, Psy released a special promotional video message inviting the fans for a worldwide celebration as his concert will be streamed online through Youtube.
At the end of the video, Psy performed the “Gangnam Shake” dance, possibly hinting at the choreography of his upcoming single, “Happening”. Psy’s manager, Scooter Braun, recently hinted, Psy's new song choreography is one worth waiting for.”

4minute’s HyunA revealed that she’s been a fan of D-Unit.
A photo of HyunA with the rookie girl group was posted onto D-Unit’s Facebook. According to the agency, they met up at Cube Café, which is located on the 1st floor of Cube Entertainment building.
HyunA shared, “I’ve been watching D-UNIT since their debut. I love D-Unit so much that I watch every TV appearances of them. If I get the chance, I’d like to work with them in D-Unit.”
D-Unit said that it would be a great honor working together while officials from both agencies agreed on the possibility saying that it is not impossible if their schedule fits.

Yang Hyun Suk to donate 1 billion won to kids
YG Entertainment’s CEO Yang Hyun Suk will be donating around 1 billion KRW (approximately $922,000 USD) to help children in need.
The agency posted high earnings last year and so shareholders including Yang Hyun Suk pledged to donate the money in stock dividends to benefit sick children who cannot afford medical treatment.
A representative from YG Entertainment revealed, “Yang Hyun Suk has long thought about making donations. He thinks of it as the result of people showing love to YG Entertainment and its artists, so he is paying back the love through donating.”

Juniel tops download charts with Japanese version “Babo”
Juniel’s duet track with CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa is enjoying a great start in Japan.
On March 5, the Japanese version of solo singer’s duet track “ Babo” took 1st place on the Daily K-Pop Asia Chart of Japan’s largest download site, Recochoku.
“Babo” is included in Juniel’s first Japanese studio album ‘ Juni’ which was released in the country on March 6th. The album includes 12 tracks in total, and 11 songs, including the title track “ Everything Is Alright“, were all written by Juniel herself.

SHINee reveals the shining price of their mic stand
The shining price of SHINee’s microphone stands for “ Dream Girl” was recently revealed, and is currently gaining much attention.
Apparently, each microphone costs 1,500,000 won (roughly $1500 USD). It is made out of duralumin, which is an aluminum alloy that is characteristically strong and lightweight. SHINee has 10 microphone stands in total at the moment.
According to their management agency, SM Entertainment, each microphone weighs about 4kg, and it was made with the same material of an airplane body. They were produced specifically for SHINee’s “Dream Girl” performances.
